Regulatory Framework
Unified Payments Interface (UPI) limits are governed by the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) and subject to secondary operational caps defined by individual banks. There is no single universal limit; transaction ceilings depend on the payment category, merchant type, and user onboarding tier.
